The media project that I am considering to create as my final project is biography of Miles Davis. Miles Davis was a great trumpet player, an innovator to all musicians and the influential artist in the jazz era. He was also a major contributor to the development of jazz; thus his creativity and novelty made him very unique in the jazz world. Therefore, I am considering devoting my final project as an appreciation to his creativity in the music world.
The main focus of this project would be on the followings:
• An opening with some photos and sound effects
• A promo using the web page editing concept
• Short introduction about Miles Davis
• His musical style in the form of movie
• His landmark albums
• Hit Sound tracks from his landmark album; which would represent the audio concept of this project.
• His famous quotes; which would be a written form with photos
• His different interviews as one single interview form; using movie editing tools
• A Conclusion
• Giving credits
This project would have my voice introducing Miles Davis and his art. There would be a slow musical background as well. Thus, this project would have the form of a documentary movie on a famous musician.
For this project I will first go over things that were going on during the 1940s; I will choose my desired scenes from different documentary movies made during that period. Then I will give some introduction about Miles Davis and his musical style. Afterword, I will select some important parts from his different interviews and put them into my documentary movie.
On the other hand, I will have some of his tunes from his landmark albums in the form of audio. Similarly I will edit some of his photos with his famous quotes.
I’m curious to know why you chose Miles Davis — does his music mean something particularly special to you?
Your plan sounds very ambitions. One thing I might recommend is that you consider substituting a few original, creative piece for the more traditional, research pieces. How about redesigning a few of his album covers? Or remixing some movie clips using his music in a way that is unexpected.
We’re less interested in a report-style project, and more interested in seeing you push yourself creatively.

I chose Miles Davis because I had a class about him in my first year seminar; and I found his music great. but I will reconsider it; since I could n’t find many sources for it.
I am considering to take a movie and edit it. there is an animated movie called “Brave” I am considering to do some audio, video, and mash up.
My plan is to create a promo for the movie; using the audio elements. Afterword, I will edit its trailer; I will change the audio and add some cue cards.
On the other hand, I will remix it with some other animated movies like “Ice Age”.
I will really appreciate your opinions about this final planning.

Hmmmm. . .what about a new movie that is a mashup of Brave (which I love, BTW) and something else? Then you could produce a new trailer and the media (posters, etc.) that might go with it?
Try and think of something that allows you do either play with an existing narrative or tell a new overarching narrative, in a creative, unexpected way!
I think you’ve got some great ideas to start with here — keep brainstorming!
